"Kissimmee St. Cloud Provides Magic at C.A.S.T. Event"
We all know how much excitement Disney World offers for family fun, but the staff at Kissimmee St. Cloud Convention & Visitors Bureau has a little magic of its own. Once again, Wendi Jeannin and company conducted the annual C.A.S.T. for Kids event, for children with disabilities, in the Kissimmee St. Cloud area. With the help of K.P. Clements, Abby Montpelier, Geo Morales and local fishing legend Terry Segraves, Ms. Jeannin conducted another flawless event, and with many new faces in attendance, not only as boaters but children as well. Everyone attending the event experienced another fun filed day in Kissimmee.
The boaters and children arrived early, anticipating a fun day of fishing and no one left disappointed. I caught 7 stated one of the young anglers at the pavilion. One of his friends replied, me to! The smiles on the boater's faces indicated that some reported catches may have been slightly exaggerated, but no one seemed to care.
One of the new faces at the event was last years C.A.S.T. for Kids raffle winner, Ron Rentfrew. "I really had an enjoyable day," stated Ron. "I had no idea what C.A.S.T. for Kids did until today, and I really enjoyed the time on Lake Toho with my partner. I look forward to helping again."
I always look forward to the Kissimmee event because you never know what to expect. This years surprise was a 6' Florida gator, cruising the shoreline, surfacing to see what all the commotion was about. Lucky for us he didn't seem too hungry.
The Kissimmee St. Cloud area is one of the most beautiful and historic parts of the Florida, and a must for a family vacation. You will not be disappointed and Disney World, Sea World and all the other Disney parks are only minutes away. I know you'll have a great time there, but you might want to keep your toes out of the water.
